California Department of Transportation – Erosion Control Pilot Test Facility

ProjectLine built Caltrans erosion control pilot facility in El Centro, California. Test facility includes 24 test plots with metal frames constructed on 2:1 embankment slope at an Interstate 8 entrance ramp. Each of the test plots also includes flumes, piping and barrels, and concrete slabs located within security fencing for collection and monitoring of runoff. Test materials applied include three proprietary liquid-applied erosion control products, soil-cement, and rock-slope protection. The project also included site grading, slope compaction, and installation of soil erosion control materials. ProjectLine was a subcontractor to URS for this project, and completed the project on-time and under budget.
