California Department of Transportation – Vegetated Erosion Control Pilot Test Facilities

ProjectLine constructed Caltrans vegetated erosion control pilot test facilities at 4 locations in Southern California (Bolsa at 405 freeway, 91 freeway in Yorba Linda, and 2 locations in San Diego). Construction work included: drainage piping to collect runoff from vegetated highway embankments, site grading, pavement modifications, equipment pads and electrical conduits for monitoring equipment, flumes to monitor runoff flow, and rip-rap for downstream drainage channels. A total of 11 flumes and related monitoring stations were included for the 4 site locations. ProjectLine was a subcontractor to URS for this project, and completed the project on-time and under budget.
