City of Los Angeles – Stormwater Quality Sampler Installations

ProjectLine assisted with installation of stormwater samplers at 25 sites throughout the City as a subcontractor to Tetra Tech. Both permanent and temporary Hach samplers were installed in large NEMA 3R stainless steel enclosures (72” H x 48” W x 32” D) mounted on concrete pads. Roof and pole-mounted solar photovoltaic panels, with batteries, provided power for sample pumps, flow meters, and sampler controls. Installations included protected sample piping and flow meter installations inside adjacent stormwater drainage channels and pipes. Installations also included added fencing, channel access gates and stairs for access to sample points. The project required coordination with Cities for encroachment and SWPPP permits, and coordination with LA County Flood Control District for access to drainage channels​.
