EAR Engineering – On-Site Chlorine Generation Systems

As subcontractor to a design-build team, ProjectLine provided mechanical and electrical engineering and construction-phase services for two on-site chlorine generation systems at Edwards Air Force Base. Systems were constructed to replace use of chlorine gas for chlorination of potable water. Systems included salt storage, rectifiers, sodium hypochlorite storage tanks, dosage pumps, flow metering and chemical injection. Systems also included aqueous ammonia storage tanks, chillers and dosage pumps for future conversion to chloramination. Services were provided using innovative, fast-track design-build collaboration between ProjectLine and the owner, prime contractor and equipment suppliers.
