Facility Maintenance Construction

ProjectLine has performed several maintenance construction tasks for Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA), and Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD). Construction tasks included:

  • Replacement of electrical service pedestal for IEUA’s Brooks Basin, and replacement of wiring, grating and fencing at the related service platform.
  • Replacement of 13 Air and Vacuum Release valves on IEUA’s San Antonio pipeline and Jurupa force main, repair of damages pipeline valve risers in 2 locations, and placement of guard posts for valve protection from vehicles.
  • Repair of broken and clogged constructed wetlands drainage piping and installation of drainage manhole at IEUA’s Headquarters location.
  • Replacement of damaged traffic-rated galvanized steel hatch for recycled water meter vault located in Ontario Mills Parkway. The work included structural evaluation of hatch replacement alternatives, demolition, concrete work, and traffic controls.
  • Emergency repair of buried gas line at IEUA’s RP-5 facility. The gas line was located over 20 ft deep, and repairs required excavation, shoring, and fusion-welded polyethylene pipe repairs.
  • Replacement of 18 rubber expansion joints (EJs) and one 16-inch Victaulic coupling for aeration systems at IEUA’s Carbon Canyon treatment plant. The 10-inch and 16-inch EJs were at end of useful life, and the Victaulic coupling was found to be leaking. The work required close coordination with IEUA Operations staff for short-duration sequenced shutdowns for each of 6 aeration basins to maintain continuous treatment plant operation.
  • Breaking and disposal of concrete debris at IEUA’s RP-5 site.
  • Replacement of broken guard post at OCSD fueling facility, and related concrete paving.
  • Modification of security fencing for Hydrogen Energy Station at OCSD’s Plant 1 site to provide equipment access.
  • Construction of concrete stairways to electrical buildings at IEUA’s RP-5 site.
  • Replacement of corroded sludge piping with new permanent, glass-lined sludge piping at IEUA’s RP-1 site.
  • Replacement of paving for portions of IEUA’s RP-1 site.
